Course Description: 

Embark on a scientific journey and explore the multi-faceted, exciting world of science. Investigate nature and the environment and conduct in lab experiments in real laboratories. Develop a greater understanding of plant and animal life through hands on activities like dissection in Biology, and discover fascinating aspects of the human body and physiology in Anatomy. Then, learn how to identify different types of rocks and make an ice cream volcano in Geology! Each student in Science Trek will have the opportunity to visit either the new Science Center, go on a Nature Walk, or visit the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory! 

 

Field Trips:  Students in Science Trek! will have the opportunity to attend one of the following:

• Rothney Astrophysical Observatory - one of the largest telescopes in Canada!

• Nature walk to a nearby swamp lead by a professional guide

• The New Science Center
